But the saddest part was a handwritten note right next to the section about play habits. It simply stated “NO INTEREST YET” in big letters. And true to that description, he ignored every single ball and bone his new family bought him at first.

And that apathy lasted about two weeks, until his human tried one more time. They picked up a classic plush lamb chop toy at the store on a whim. And the second Bruce saw it, something clicked.
